2016 Seattle International Film Festival Campaign, Light the SIFF Up
The Seattle International Film Festival drops over 400 movies, from over 80 countries, on the Emerald City each year, drawing die-hard fans, young and old, to cinemas across the city. For the 2016 "SIFF Season", we decided to turn the festival into a huge celebration with a theatrical trailer celebrating SIFF as North America’s largest, film-themed block party. So call in sick, silence your cell phone and get down (in front) — we’re about to Light The SIFF UP!
We delivered a festival poster, outdoor and printed assets, a comprehensive style guide for all channels and in partnership with We Are Royale, we created a :60 trailer and five :30 bumpers. Local electronic band Super Square even created custom music for the Light the SIFF Up trailer!
My roles included concept development, asset development and design, style guide development and design and art direction for the poster creative and campaign trailer shoot.
Light the SIFF Up was successful in generating viewer excitement for the yearly festival and the creative took in three district ADDYs for the 2016 year.
